I need to get better at this…

I need to get better at blogging more often…Obviously my life has been a little chaotic lately…but on a positive note I have a new niece!!!! I am absolutely smitten with!!!

Ever find yourself wondering about life and how you wound up at the very instance you are at in your life? I do all the time. Sometimes life can be painful, it can be hard, it can be amazing and it can be beautiful. Nothing was made perfect except God. We have to go through things in our life sometimes to learn and grow in our lives. Sometimes we don’t necessarily understand in the moment why we are hurting or why we have to be in the situation that we are in but I promise there is a light at the end of that tunnel. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and even if you don’t see it in the moment, if you could see the big picture (your entire life) and how it plays out you would realize why you were stuck at that train, why you are struggling financially or why you are going through so much pain in your life. I recall after 9/11 something that struck me and still does to this day; people were saying, “wow that could’ve been me”, “I was running late this morning”, “I happen to have a doctor’s appointment today” or “I took the day off”. That’s amazing to think that something we normally get frustrated with (being stuck in traffic) was actually the reason that a life or many was actually saved that day. So when you catch that train or are stuck in traffic just remember you are right where you are supposed to be. You may be avoiding some other tragic event or a wreck or who knows. I always thank God for the little reminders to slow down and I use that time to thank him for reminding me that I am right where I need to be in that moment. I know life isn’t easy and I don’t think it was meant to be. I think each day is an opportunity for growth and to learn something about yourself. Trying to stay positive in such a chaotic world is difficult but reminding yourself that God is always with you and will be with you on this journey and through your struggles is always a great place to start.
